Package scope

  • The clients chose to have us style their living and dining room, with complementary styling for their master bedroom. They also topped up for styling of their balcony.

  • Since the clients had existing furniture they wanted incorporated, we used these pieces as a springboard for the colour palette.

  • We also sourced a few new pieces, including the sideboard in the dining room, coffee table, chaise longue, and the indoor dining set.

  • The suite of décor included in the Magical Homes package included cushions, faux flowers, table décor, and artwork. The client topped up for more décor items (mirrors, carpets, art panels).

Notes from our stylists

  • To create a more inviting layout that would also give the illusion of space, we first reconfigured the spatial layout of the living and dining areas.

  • We created a dark blue wall in the dining room to anchor the open concept space and visually delineate the dining from the living.

  • The family had some great pieces but didn’t know how to tie the home together, so we used smaller décor pieces to design a cohesive home. Larger pieces were chosen in neutral shades and organic finishes for longevity. We balanced these bigger pieces with richer textural details of velvet, fleece, and reflective sheens to temper the darker colour palette. To streamline expenses, we moved the older dining set to the balcony, which was unfurnished. The client even gamely stained the piece himself to our recommendation!
