Whitley Road

Design, Reno & Build + Interior Styling; Landed cluster home; 2020

Designed for a family of five, this home design took our team about three months to renovate, barring slight delays due to the Circuit Breaker. Our clients wanted us to create a for them to feel like they were on a perpetual holiday, so our design vision began with a hotel-inspired look.

Design & reno build scope

  • Total redesign and renovation of the dry kitchen where we retiled the space, and installed new cabinetry and appliances.

  • Total redesign of the basement TV room, which was originally a partition wall. We reconfigured the layout to transform the space into a function and inviting entertainment space for the family.

  • Design of the outdoor backyard entertainment area and wet kitchen.

  • Cosmetic renovation of almost all seven ensuite bathrooms and wardrobes using new tiles, finishes, hardware, and cabinetry.

Notes from our stylists

  • We styled the entire home, including the outdoor spaces. A deeper colour palette of greys blues, and taupes was used throughout, accented with modern black lines and reflective gold. To lighten the darker colours, we brought in more glass and mirrored surfaces. Sumptuous velvet, carpets, and textured wallpaper were added for warmth.

Bespoke furniture from Arete Culture

  • Dining table and chairs

  • Bed frames and headboards

  • Night stands

  • Accent armchairs

  • Coffee table and side tables

Client Testimonial

“Throughout the journey of getting the home done, Caroline and Jeannette would always ask us for what we liked best from a variety of options, giving us a say in how the home would turn out while still ensuring that everything went together well. They would always take into consideration any functional requirements for a space and integrate it with wonderful design language.

Whenever there were issues at the site or stoppages brought about by any issues, Caroline and Jeannette would reply promptly and sort the problem out, ensuring that the project would continue and that any issues were rectified without sacrificing the final look and feel of the home.

The house looks fantastic and is an amazing space to live and work in. We are extremely pleased with the final result and would not hesitate to recommend them for those looking to make their home look amazing.”
