Interior Styling; Condo; 2020
We were engaged to style this rental apartment for a growing family. With the holiday season fast approaching, the family was excited to entertain their guests in their new home, which they envisioned as a modern, hotel-inspired space. We swiftly completed the project in 6 weeks, configuring and styling the living and dining areas, master bedroom, playroom, open nursery, office, and balcony.

Notes from our stylists
We designed the concept living and dining area to make the open-concept space useful for both everyday living and occasional entertaining.
As the wife was expecting, we focused on making her comfortable by customising the bed frames at a lower height for ease of movement. We also accommodated the client’s request to create frames that would allow for mattresses to be put adjacent to each other since their young son sleeps with the couple at night.
To achieve a luxe, hotel-inspired feel, we built a deeper, bolder palette using greys, blues, and gold. We balanced darker, painted walls with patterned wallpaper to add visual depth.
Mirrors, artwork, and décor items with gold accents and delicate finishes helped elevate and complete the polished look of the house. Cushions, rugs, and other soft furnishings balanced these textures.

Client Testimonial
“When we were looking to move into a new place, we had a vague idea of what we wanted. It needed to look like a high end hotel, modern looking, cosy for a family of 4, without breaking the bank. It seemed like a tall order, and we were looking around for a home stylist who could deliver. After reading multiple reviews and comparing various providers, we decided to settle for Arete Culture. And we are so glad we made the right choice!
From Day 1, Caroline and Juline made us feel reassured and comfortable. The entire process was smooth, and we never felt unsure of how the end outcome would be like. During the 1st visit to our new place, they took one glance at the empty space and immediate gave us suggestions of what could be done after the transformation. The colour theme, layout and furniture recommendations provided were all on point. All we had to do, was to select those we wanted and wait for the magic to happen.
On the makeover day, we were shocked at the amount of items they brought to our place. We didn't think it could all fit in our 2000 sqft place. But after Carol and Juline did their magic, the entire house was transformed into a beautiful home. The before/after was simply amazing, and we felt like this was finally a place we could raise our kids and feel proud of. I can't recommend the team at Arete Culture enough!
They are extremely busy people, and may take a while to reply, but it only shows how popular they are. Even though they have multiple clients at any given time, you can rest assured that they pay extreme close attention to detail and you won't be left hanging. I have had bad experiences in the past with contractors and interior designers, and I can truly say that the team at Arete Culture overdelivered and did their best to make us feel at ease. Even after the place was done up, they still sent us a nice house-warming gift (thanks guys!) and even provided excellent after-service support like recommending us their contractors and carpet cleaners etc. If you want peace of mind and to work with the best in the industry, at an affordable rate, look no further!”
